Wine on a Budget

Economic hard times and their side effects don't mean that a person has to stop drinking wine or start drinking cheap wine from a gallon jug. It is still possible to get some really good wines for really good prices. Indeed, there are some incredible bargains in wine out there if you know where to look.

Here are a few tips for finding wine bargains that anybody on almost any budget can employ to put a good bottle of wine on the table.

Tip One: Look for wine bottles with caps instead of corks. Contrary to popular belief the cork does nothing for the taste or quality of the wine. Wines with a metal screw top are just as good as those with corks. When you go to the liquor store look for wine bottles that have metal caps instead of corks. Be on the look out for higher end brands of wine like Lindemans and CK Mondovi with screw tops. These will sell for three or four dollars less a bottle than wine with a cork. Many of these are restaurant bottles which are being retailed because of the bad economy. The cork is purely a matter of tradition and snobbery not quality.

Tip Two: Don't be afraid to try a wine in a box. There are several excellent table wines in a box out there. Australians have been drinking premium wine in a box for decades. Look for the slightly more expensive wines in a box. This can get you two or three liters of really good wine for under $20.

Tip Three: Look for larger bottles of wine. Many quality wines including Mondovi and Concha de Toro come in 1.5 liter bottles that sell for $7-$10. Buying these especially when they are on sale, is $2-3 or cheaper than buying two 750 milliliter bottles.

Tip Four: Go south, wine from Southern Hemisphere nations like Australia, Chile, Argentina and South Africa is just as good or even better than American or French wine and it's a lot cheaper. In large liquor stores it's possible to pick up a good 750 mm bottle of Chilean Merlot or Cabernet for $5 and 1.5 liters of Argentine cabernet for $7-$9. Many big liquor stores regularly put these wines on sale for $4 or $5 a bottle. Even a high end award winning Chilean wine like Concha Toro Diablo will often sell for under $10 a bottle.

Tip Five: Check the bargain bin. Many liquor stores, especially larger liquor stores will have a bargain bin or bargain corner that contains wines that haven't been selling well or are getting a little old. These wines aren't bad the store just wants to get rid of them. It's often possible to find really good wine in these bins for $4-$6 a bottle. If you don't see the bargain bin ask about it, it might be hidden in the corner.

Tip Six: Shop the sales. Big liquor stores and large retailers that stock wine use loss leaders. That is they discount a few particular types of wine to draw customers in. You can take advantage of this by shopping for wine like you shop for groceries. Check the ads, find out which store has the wine you want at the best price and go there. One bonus tip, shop right after the sale begins because the bargains sometimes run out. Don't forget to ask for rain checks too, many stores will give these on out of stock bargains if you ask.

Tip Seven: Stock up. Wine can keep for months or even years after you buy it. This means that if you see a really good deal on your favorite wine and you have the money stock up on it. Buy a case or cases of that wine and store it in your basement or another cool, dry area that doesn't get much sunlight. Most liquor stores will sell wine by the case. To get these deals you'll have to ask a store employee but it will often be worth it. It's possible for a smart shopper to get enough wine to drink for several weeks or months. Another advantage to stocking up is that you won't have to go out and buy wine for special occasions like birthdays or holidays.

Nobody has to go without decent wine because of the bad economy. Indeed the bad economy can be a great opportunity for frugal wine drinkers to enjoy some great wine bargains.

How to Level Fast in WoW - 3 Easy Tips People Always Skip

Well about 9 million people can't be wrong when they say that this game is pretty fun (I'm one of those who gives a sweet thumbs-up to that game). Let's get right to the point and what you've clicked on my article title in the first place anyways. Here are the 3 tips almost about 99% I've played with skip on and makes the whole How to Level fast in WoW dilemma stirs up.

1-You Are NOT using your hearthstone!

I Have no idea why people underestimate the power of that little item when it can save them A LOT of time when they're leveling, if you have been playing WoW for awhile now then you should realize by now that running from point A to B is the biggest obstacle to level in WoW. Now I'm well aware that the cd (cool down) for your heathstone is pretty high and you might just click away from the article right now but here me out a bit. If you manage somehow to find out how to use that hearthstone to YOUR advantage trust me it will help you a lot and save you some precious hours that you can invest later on in your raiding groups, pretty cool eh?

Here's just one tip on how to use it. If your questing in let's say (the barrens) then make one of the villages there your home try to make it the village that's the nearest to the rest of the other villages like if there is village A at the top B at middle and C at the top make your home Village B. I know what I've just said doesn't sound like something big or fancy or anything but its simply how to take the most advantage of your hearthstone

2-You ALWAYS forget to grab all of the quests in the village!

Why? Why? Why you guys always just grab the quests that you know of and don't grab ALL of the quests? Here's what you should be doing instead grab all of the quests in that village and just delete whatever quests that your not so in-love with or they sound too boring for your taste later on. Please stop picking up the quests that you know of and forget the rest, again I know that this might not make sense to you which brings me to my last tip.

3-Grab a leveling guide or a quest helper NOW!

Why did I tell you to grab all the quests even the ones that you don't know of? Because I assumed that you MUST have one of those "leveling guides" or "quest helpers" with you by now. Although I'll admit that I'm not the biggest fan of those quest helpers. Anyhow It's just a fact right now like if you buy World of Warcraft just buy a Leveling Guide along with it or download a quest helper for free!

I know that what I've just said doesn't sound like something fancy or anything but trust me you go use these 3 tips right now and see the outcome. At the very least it helped me out with leveling folks. Good Luck.

All of this paranormal knowledge is gained by watching Jennifer's Body, the horror film penned by Diablo Cody, the brilliant writer of Juno. Don't listen to reviewers who are boys; they are simply miffed at being portrayed as vulnerable chunks of demon chow. (Boys, this is the way girls have felt while watching slasher films since the dawn of filmmaking.) If you like a little funny with your scary/grotesque, this is great stuff. The ending, in which Needy (Amanda Seyfried, the perky blonde star of Mamma Mia! and Dear John) gets revenge on the band who literally demonized her childhood friend (Megan Fox), is perfection.

Plus, it has great throwaway lines like, "Do you buy all your murder weapons at Home Depot? God, you're so butch!"

Choose Your World of Warcraft Profession & Choose Your Destiny

Professions are an important aspect of WoW gaming. Players learn professions to advance their levels, acquire more items, and get more gold. Some professions are more suited for one player than another. All the basic professions are called primary professions. There are also secondary professions which are complimentary skills used to help a player acquire more wealth or power.

You begin your WoW game by choosing all the details about your character, including his profession. After that you'll probably be spending time trying to figure out how to increase your skill level. Some of the most important primary professions are Herbalism, Alchemy, Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting-which is only acquirable to those who've bought the Burning Crusade expansion. After these, you can go on and learn some secondary professions such as Fishing, First Aid, and Cooking.

Having trouble deciding which professions to learn and don't want to waste your time with trial and error? My first suggestion is to review what class of character you're playing and what your aim is. Is it a caster or is it a damage dealer? Magical characters such as Mages or Warlocks should definitely learn Herbalism, Alchemy and Jewelcrafting. All of these skills offer advantages to those able to harness magic and cast spells. If your aim is monetary gain it almost doesn't matter which class you're in. You'll be able to benefit from Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing and Tailoring.

Secondary professions such as Fishing offer gold seekers a wealth of advantages. First Aid is a great profession for those in a raid who need to heal their fellow allies. This is one of my favorites because you can use all sorts of bandages to heal your friends in under 8 seconds. I also enjoy Cooking because, not only do I love the culinary arts, but it's a profitable profession and it entertains your allies.

WoW - Best Gold Farming Spot & Locations

It's all too easy to get caught up in the grind when trying to acquire the gold you need for the gear you want in World of Warcraft. With the cost of everything from equipment and armor to mounts to mats for your chosen trade there are plenty of ways for you to spend gold in World of Warcraft, which makes it all the more important to know where some of the best spots to farm for gold in Azeroth are. As I am personally partial to the skinning profession the spots I'll be suggesting will be ideal for others who know how to skin as well.

Early on I like Stranglethorn Vale. This area has a wide variety of skinnable creatures which is obviously desirable. One of the real pluses to this area can be the questing that happens in it. If you go in after a group doing the expedition mastery quest, you could be finding up to sixty kills per person lying on the ground, depending on if any of them skin too. The ability to scavenge the corpses of non skinners is one reason I do so love the profession.

Later on, Nagrand can be a great place to do a similar thing. The Nagrand mastery quest will leave an even larger number of corpses behind than the one back in Stranglethorn Vale, and all it takes is following one or two non skinners through the area and you will find tons of corpses that you can turn into straight profit for yourself. As you can tell, picking kills off of those not clever enough to choose skinning as their profession is my idea of an enjoyable, and profitable, time. Not only that, but my own kills will drop meat which I can either sell at the auction house, or save for training cooking if I want to develop that skill on a given toon.

Here's a short article to help you find your project car you've been dreaming about since high school. There are a number of ways to begin your search, and you can begin from wherever you're at right now.

The more obvious ones are newspapers, under vintage or classic autos, or just browsing by year in the classified sections under used cars. Then there are the local buy and sell publications, which I really like, because you just never know what kinds of bargains you'll find from week to week. Another great place to look is auctions, either online or by actually showing up for an auction. There are also swap meets and car shows, where you just never know who'll be selling what. With the popularity of the Internet, you'll have access to endless leads for classic cars online- Google and eBay are excellent places to start as well as getting on email lists from reputable car dealers and auction sites. And finally, the most interesting way I've found to begin your treasure hunt is just to go for a drive! I can't begin to tell you how many diamonds in the rough I've discovered simply by taking a Sunday afternoon drive through the country (or even the city) just driving by farmer's fields, talking to neighbors, or even just going to garage sales.

Whichever method you choose, I hope you make it fun and enjoyable - after all, you're out looking for your unique car that will be bringing you a lifetime of fun and memories!

Classic Car Restoration - Part 1 - Is It For You?

So you are thinking about restoring a classic car such as a 1955 Chevrolet, 1956 Chevrolet or 1957 Chevrolet! If you do some planning the experience will be more agreeable to your pocket book and the job will be much easier. So no matter how simple or extensive your classic restoration, success depends on how well you plan ahead. The first decision you must make is to determine if you want to build a restored original or modified classic car.

For an all original restorations all the parts must be originals or exact reproductions and painted specific colors or in some cases not painted. Body colors must be original to 1955, 1956 and 1957 models. Any un-restored classic Chevy interiors will be in need of replacing. Replace the interior with exact reproductions. After 50 years most chrome parts, such as bumpers, door handles, etc. will need to be re-plated or replaced with exact reproductions.

A modified car is one that you can change the engine, drive train, body paint and interior to a style you like. Many old car buffs like the modified or street rod look because these cars reminds us of the fast hot rods built in the 1960s and 1970s. Another reason to modify your classic is safety. Disc brakes work better than drum brakes, new engines and transmissions are more reliable. Most important - seat belts that were available as an option but seldom installed can be added.

Many Internet companies offer 1000s of reproduction parts for the Tri-5's from bumper to bumper. Don't let the lack of available classic Chevy parts be the excuse not to get started today.

The classic car restoration hobby is a lot of fun. So what ever you decide to do with your classic Chevy, try to complete as much of the work yourself. You will appreciate your classic Chevrolet that much more and learn important details about your vehicle should problems occur down the road.

You may have a plan of what you want to accomplish, parts needed and time frame, but be flexible and be prepared to make adjustment to your plan along the way. If you've played WoW even for a few minutes, you know that there is nothing in the game that matters more than the size of your gold stack. With it, you absolutely dominate it. Without it, you have to save for weeks before you can afford mats for the next big raid. In order to avoid being the big loser in the next raid that everyone makes fun of, try listening to these tips.

Probably the best way to make gold is to choose a gathering profession. Because of their nature, they can make a lot of money. Mining is a great example. Both engineers and blacksmiths need miners, and you'll be more than happy when they fork over the gold to you. Here's a hint: a good place to find iron is in the Arathi Highlands.

Try fishing the next time you play. Go out and fish for pearls. One golden pearl will sell for three times as much as black pearls: sometimes as much as 30!

Here's a hint that not many take advantage of: try combining the gathering with your service profession. You can use the materials you gather to craft items. That way, you don't have to buy the items and you can make the maximum amount of gold. For example, you can always combine alchemy with herbalism. You'll need the herbs to make the potions which you can sell to make a good profit.

Of course, if you're playing the Wrath of the Lich King, you'll find that you'll receive more gold simply by killing mobs than in the original. Try that out the next time you go out to play.
