The Best Weapon For a Barbarian Mercenary in Diablo II

Eternity is a Runeword requiring 5 runes, 2 of them extremely rare and expensive (Ber and Sur), and useable in any melee weapon with 5 sockets.

With the Indestructible on it, you'd never have to pay a single gold coin to have it repaired ever again. However, since it is very easy to make a lot of money in Hell mode, this should never be main selling point of a weapon.

7% Life Stolen Per Hit
Decent mod, even after factoring in the reduced return in Hell Difficulty. But having no Mana leech as well reduces the usefulness of the Eternity Runeword.

20% Chance of Crushing Blow
This is perhaps the most attractive mod on an Eternity Runeword. Crushing Blow is a modifier that only pops up on Unique, Runewords or Set items. With a successful Crushing Blow on your target, you will reduce their Life by a certain %, which is determined by the weapon you are using, and whether the target is another player, a normal monster or one of the stronger monsters in Diablo 2, ie. Champion, Uniques, Bosses).

Therefore, this mod works best against targets with just-spawned targets with lots of hit points, rather than those who only 10% of Life left. While reducing a monster's current hit points by say, 25%, might not seem a lot, consider that some Uniques and Bosses can have 100,000 hit points or more. A successful Crushing blow will reduce that to 75,000 hit points, while it may take many normal hits to get it down to that.

Crushing Blow can be a good investment for melee characters that don't do huge amounts of damage and thus take a while to kill Bosses, those that do a lot of elemental damage but want to have Crushing Blow as an option against unique monsters that turn out to be immune to their elemental attacks and those who have faster/but weaker attacks.

Equip your character with a weapon that contains the Eternity Runeword (20%) Steelrend Gauntlets (10%), and Goreriders (15%) and you already have a 45% Chance of Crushing Blow, which means that you will trigger Crushing Blow on almost half of your attacks!

Hit Blinds Target
Reduces the ability to hit % of the target to a measly 5% for a short duration. May appear useful at first, but most characters want their monsters to be dead in a shorter period of time. Can be useful for characters with low Life.

Cannot Be Frozen
This mod can be useful if you're going up against monsters that cause cold damage; this modifier prevent makes your character immune to the slowing effects of cold attacks. It does not work against Duriel in Act 2, though.

Summary:
Eternity is one of those Runewords that, by itself, is pretty decent, but which is not very popular with players because there are other Runewords out there that are not only cheaper, but deal more damage (like Grief, for example).

Metabolic Bone Disease in Iguanas

Metabolic bone disease is a term used to describe various conditions that cause bone deformities in iguanas. Iguanas in the wild never suffer from this condition. It almost always occurs because of improper care by the owner.

Causes

This disease can be caused by one or more factors. The most common is a lack of calcium in the diet. When your iguana doesn't get enough calcium, his body will start leeching it from the bones. This leads to dramatic softening leaving your iguana very susceptible to fractures.

Metabolic bone disease can also result when there is an improper calcium to phosphorus ratio in the diet. Another common cause is not enough exposure to UVA and UVB. Iguanas need this light to manufacture their own vitamin D, which is essential for calcium metabolism. Other common causes include improper temperatures in the enclosure and diseases which cause a hormonal imbalance.

Symptoms

One of the first signs of metabolic bone disease isn't visible. If you feel the lower jaw bone, it will feel spongy or soft. It may also start to swell and make it difficult for your iguana to eat. This usually leads to loss of appetite. Your iguana's thinning bones will also cause him to suffer easily broken bones.

As the disease progresses, he may start experiencing episodes of twitching and tremoring. This usually occurs in the muscles of the toes and legs. He will also likely develop a jerky gait that you can easily notice when he walks.

Treatment

Treatment depends on the severity of the condition. The good news is that metabolic bone disease in iguanas can usually be treated when detected early. If your iguana has suffered any broken bones, they will need to be allowed to heal. If calcium deficiency is the underlying cause, then a strong calcium supplement may be prescribed. Other causes resulting from improper care will also need to be remedied to treat the disease.

THe Eccentric Giant Skull That Blows All Demons Away With Its Features in Diablo 2

Giant Skulls is a unique helm. While it doesn't have a lot of mods on it, the ones that it does have make this a nice helm to have for Amazons who make use of Bows and Crossbow Skills.

Knockback

Amazons, however, view Knockback as a helpful mod because they attack with Ranged weapons, from afar, and killing the enemies before they can get close is an ideal situation for them.

Knockback does tend to make it harder for an Amazon to target the monster in question.

+25-35 to Strength

Increasing Strength by 25-35 points is a nice mod to have, especially if your character's Strength score is too low for some of the nicer items you're currently holding on to. That means you need to invest less attribute points in Strength and can spare more for Vitality, for more Life!

Socketed (1-2)

Although this mod may seem a little underwhelming, it is one of the more useful mods of Giant Skull, allowing you flexibility in tailoring the helm to your needs.  Feel like having more % Physical Resistance? Sock a Ber in. Need more IAS to break a certain breakpoint? Sock IAS jewels in.

Summary:

Giant Skull really doesn't offer much for most characters. Most of the mods aren't useful for casters, and melee characters do not typically enjoy Knockback.

For Amazons who delight in filling their enemies with arrows, however, Giant Skull can offer some interesting options.

Christmas in San Francisco

New fallen snow blanketed the countryside. The sounds of passing cars along the road were muted in the still, peaceful air. Hills and valleys, in their blanket of snow, rolled softly into the distance, bathed in the mellow light of a nearly full moon. A woody smell of burning pine and warm hearths teased at my nostrils as I turned up the lane toward the house, snow crunching beneath my boots.

The house shone with a warm hazy glow, gentle sounds of laughter and Christmas carols hung sweetly in the air. A string of lights - red, green, blue, yellow - bright and happy, wound around the big picture window next to the front door of the house. In the window stood a tall, handsome Spruce, freshly cut from the surrounding hills. Bright shiny ornaments, colorful lights, garland, and tinsel adorned every sturdy branch. At the very top, a big star blazed brightly, beckoning me into this warm, cozy house.

A dog barked in the moonlit distance as I walked up the narrow path to the front door. I reached out my hand to turn the big brass doorknob...

There was a squeal of brakes and the clatter of garbage cans, the men in their stained coveralls hoisted the contents into the back of the garbage truck. Then the roar of the diesel engine as they moved up the rain-soaked street to continue their daily, early-morning rounds...

Once again, the world from outside my San Francisco flat intruded abruptly into my dream-induced inner reality. The crunching snow under my boots and the dusky smell of smoke in my nostrils was my dream-like version of Christmases long gone...

I awoke to Christmastime in San Francisco...

It was all a dream of course. The passage of thirty or forty years tends toward an idealized, Norman Rockwell-like remembrance of my childhood Christmas. I'm sure that even then the early morning rounds of garbagemen jolted people out of languid, happy dreams of Christmas and youth.

But as my drowsy brain awakens to reality, I recall fond memories of a more recent past, right here in the City.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in San Francisco...

Winter in San Francisco is the one time during the year that it is generally warmer in the City than in the outlying areas...

Mark Twain once observed that the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer day in San Francisco. The summers are cool, and the winters are mild. The changing of the seasons are a bit more subtle here, but they are here...

The brilliant blue sky after a good winter storm - one or two inches of rain - as the late autumn afternoon sun casts dramatic shadows on the flats in the neighborhood. The deep, sound-deadening fog of winter that seems to come up from the ground instead of the summer variety that comes off the ocean. The light dusting of snow on the outlying hills surrounding San Francisco... Mt. Diablo, Mt. Hamilton, Mt. Tamalpais...

People bustling down the street, dressed in their winter garb. Odd combinations of scarf, heavy down jacket, gloves - and shorts... sometimes even sandals. There tends to be confusion here if it's really hot or cold. Or both at the same time, which, oddly enough, happens in San Francisco. Dressing in December can be tricky- indeed, any month of the year - and "layers" is the mantra of the well-dressed shopper or merry-maker. And there are people here that just seem to have an aversion to long pants.

From the silly to the sublime, concerts and shows celebrate the Christmas spirit...

From "A Christmas Carol" at the American Conservatory Theater. To "The Nutcracker Suite" performed by the San Francisco Ballet. To Handel's "Messiah", at the magnificent Grace Cathedral atop Nob Hill. To the venerable dancing Christmas Trees and Sequined Santa of "Beach Blanket Babylon", the unique cabaret-style show that is a San Francisco landmark in its thirtieth year.

A walk down to Union Square with all the high-end retailers competing for the best window display... Eight stories of neon Christmas wreaths - dozens of them - adorning Macys. Winter scenes at Tiffany's reminiscent of my Christmas dream....Wegman Dogs - dogs with human bodies - cook Christmas dinner, play at snowball fights, and dream sweet dreams of Christmas in the windows at Saks Fifth Avenue.

At the corner of Post and Mason, two young women display their musical talents with voice and harp, the sounds of Christmas music mixing gently with the sound of car horns and busses...

A passing cable car slowly climbing Nob Hill, brightly-lit reindeer on the roof cheerfully guiding its sluggish ascent as the cableman skillfully rings out Christmas carols with the bell...

The mix of humanity on the sidewalk, from wealthy shoppers to homeless street people. Pan-handlers offering their usual mix of "Street Sheets" for a dollar; guilt - "come on... it's Christmas" - as they challenge your averted glance; and humor - "can you spare two-thousand for lunch in Rome?" - and whoever smiles first gets the rest of the spiel...

From Union Square, an aimless walk up Nob Hill among the fine, old, brick apartment houses with their white-gloved doorman attending the entrance, a tall Christmas tree brightly lit in the lobby. On to the stately Victorians of Russian Hill, with their mix of lights and garland and trees decorating the individual flats...

An eggnog and rum at a lively North Beach pub, or a delicious meal at one of the many fine Italian restaurants, or perhaps some jazz at Pearls, in the neighborhood made famous by the "beat" generation.

Yes indeed, San Francisco is alive with sights and sounds and smells and stories...

At Christmas, this city that has always been a little quirky, a little colorful, and even a little strange, comes alive with the sights, sounds, smells, and stories of the season...

Scenic Train Rides Around The World

I'm not sure why on scenic train rides you can have a beer, but you can't on a bus. In any case, this is one of the reasons to take a train ride. Another reason is that they go where the roads don't, so you'll see scenery you miss when driving. Trains don't have to stop at traffic lights, and you can get up and walk around. Finally, trains are relaxing for all the reasons above AND the rythym of the rails.

Amtrak has scenic sections, and there are also numerous dinner trains operating around the United States now. However, the most scenic train rides are the classics. Below are a few to whet your appetite.

The Silverton-Durango Narrow Gage

I first caught this train far from any road. I was in the Weminuche Wilderness Area, next to a footbridge over the Animas river, where they stop if backpackers there flag them down. More recently, my wife and I took the train from Silverton to Durango. Wherever you catch this train, it will be an experience you won't forget.

It is a classic steam locomotive that goes through Colorado's San Juan Mountains, along the Animas river. At times you'll look out the window, over the edge, to the water hundreds of feet below. In Silverton you can eat good food, buy souvenirs, and see an old-west mining town that hasn't much with time.

La Nariz Del Diablo

Train rides on this line, which goes from Riobamba to Alausi, Ecuador, are scenic and adventurous. On our recent trip, my wife stayed inside, but I rode on the roof for the first half of the ride. Despite the occasional rain, there were twenty other travelers up there. I highly recommend you pay the dollar to rent a pillow to sit on. Your final destination is a valley with a view of a rock formation high above, called "La Nariz Del Diablo," or "The Devil's Nose."

Be careful of tree branches if you're on the roof, and be prepared for a five-hour ride. It starts in downtown Riobamba, in the highlands of the central Andes Mountains. You'll travel through "cloud forests" and finally down to a much warmer climate. Interestingly, the train descends some streches of track caboose-first. There's a lunch stop in one of the small mountain towns. When we took the train (May 2004), it was limited to 40 passengers, and tickets sold out quickly.

Agawa Canyon Railroad

One of the more scenic train rides in the north, starts and ends in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, Canada, just over the border from Sault Saint Marie, Michigan. It's an all-day trip that goes through a rocky and heavily-wooded wilderness, along the Agawa River, to Agawa Canyon. At the canyon, you can have a picnic in a beautiful meadow, or just relax and enjoy the scenery, before reboarding for the return trip.

Autumn, when the maples have all changed color, is the most beautiful time to take the train. It's also the most difficult time to get tickets, so plan far ahead. The route is also run as the scenic "Snow Train," in winter.

The Thunder Mountain Line

Thunder Mountain Line has scenic train rides that take several routes in Idaho, starting from Horseshoe Bend and Cascade. Depending on the route you choose, you'll travel through dramatic narrow canyons, sagebrush-covered hills, mountain meadows, or pristine evergreen forests. The tracks follow the mountain trails settlers used a hundred years before. You may see deer, fox, elk, blue herons, osprey, and bald eagles. Rides vary from three to five hours, depending on the route.

Amtrak's Scenic Train Rides

The California Zephyr, Amtrak's train from Chicago to San Francisco, passes through the Rocky Mountains and the more beautiful (in my opinion) Sierra Nevadas. The Coast Starlight goes from Seattle to Los Angeles, with views of snow-covered mountains, thick forests, and long stretches of Pacific Ocean shoreline. Amtrak's Auto Train is a unique scenic train ride that allows you to take your car with you from Lorton, Viginia, to Florida.

Runescape Summoning Pets

The long awaited 'summoning' skill has finally been released to the Runescape world. With the new skill comes alot of new familiars to summon and pets to take care of. Unlike the familiars which need to be created with pouches and ingredients at an obelisk, pets are obtained in different ways.

Some pets can be purchased directly from one of the pet shops in Runescape. There are six types of dogs available in the pet shops. You can buy a Bulldog, Dalmatian, Greyhound, Labrador, Sheepdog or a Terrier. These all require only level 1 summoning and all need you to feed them raw meat.

Other Animals can be raised from eggs. There are seven types of animals that can be raised from eggs. Eggs found in birds nests include: Raven, Guthix raptor, Saradomin owl, Zamorak hawk. You can obtain a Penguin egg from the Ardougne Zoo, Vulture eggs are found as a drop from Vultures and A dragon egg can be found as a drop from a dragon. Chameleon eggs can be found on Cairn Isle. If you have an egg then you need to have it incubated at a pet shop.

A Gecko, Squirrel, Raccoon and a monkey can all be caught by using your hunter skill. Giant crabs can be purchased from mogres.

Some information about pets:

You can put your pets in your inventory or take them out at any time.

Each pet has different needs. Care for them or they will run away.

Some pets take a long time to grow up.

You can only have one type of pet at one time.

You can only have one follower out at a time.

The Guthix raptor, Saradomin owl and Zamorak hawk all have three stages of growth: chick, bird and raptor/owl/hawk.

Satellite Internet and Online Gaming: Does It Work?

Online gaming is one of the fastest growing trends in the world right now. With games such as Runescape boasting subscriber numbers of around a million and World of Warcraft exceeding 7 million active members, the total number of MMOG subscriptions is verging on the absurd, quickly approaching the 14 million mark worldwide[6/06, mmogchart.com]. This tremendous growth in the popularity of the online gaming industry has, in part, been fueled by the accessibility of high-speed broadband internet. A high-speed connection allows for a much more enjoyable game-play experience. Everyone knows that online games work exceptionally well on DSL and Cable internet connections, but what about the newer high-speed service satellite internet? As satellite internet is becoming more readily available and cost effective more and more rural dial-up customers are making the switch to cash in on the faster speeds and always on access. But, when it comes to online gaming many are concerned that their game-play experience will be less satisfactory, if they can even connect to play at all.

The reason for this concern is the issue of latency. Latency is an expression of how much time it takes for a packet of data to get from one designated point to another. This is direly important when it come to on-line gaming in that latency translates into the time that it takes from the moment that a button is pushed to when the action is performed in the game. Often this can mean the difference between life and death. With DSL and Cable the response time is almost immediate, being between 50milliseconds-150milliseconds. The latency for satellite internet is between 600milliseconds-800milliseconds. This may sound like the end of online gaming for someone who has just made the switch to satellite internet but it is not. Although this degree of latency does all but rule out first-person shooters there are a good number of MMOGs that operate well over a satellite internet connection. And, although the effects of latency can never be completely eliminated, there are ways in which to improve upon them. The simplest way to do this is by speeding up the way that one's computer handles and responds to information being transferred through the connection and by increasing the total amount of available bandwidth. By eliminating non-essential services i.e. bandwidth hogs that the average user never utilizes and dedicating more physical resources to the most used application can help tremendously. So, although there are limitations to on-line gaming over satellite internet there are also ways to improve upon game-play responsiveness and many games that will play well without operating system tweaks. Is it a normal one with a visible pupil that looks like a vertical slit during daylight hours? Or is it instead a solid-color one where you can't really distinguish the pupil? If it's a solid-color one, is it black? Red?

One of the greatest achievements of modern leopard gecko breeders is to produce 'morphs' (visually distinct breeds) not only with different patterns and background colors, but also with different eyes. Let's take a look at them:

'Normal'

The leopard geckos that are found in the wild have dark, slightly metallic tinged irises. Because geckos are nocturnal they have eyes that are adapted for night-time vision, meaning that they're very sensitive to light. This is why during the day (or in the presence of any bright light) their pupils close up into slits. If they didn't do this, bright light would seriously damage them.

Normal leos are already pretty to look at, but that wasn't enough for professional breeders!

Solid black

Also known as 'Snake Eyes' or 'Eclipse,' some leo morphs have black irises rather than the metallic-tinged irises of normal leos. As pupils are of course black too, this makes it very hard to distinguish pupil from iris, and makes it look as if their eyes are simply black orbs.

Ruby-eye

The brother to solid black eyes, some morphs have solid red eyes. This is caused by albinism, which means that there is no dark pigment in the eyes to obscure the underlying retinal blood vessels. Note that not all albino leopard geckos have red eyes, but incubation at high temperatures of around 90 degrees Fahrenheit increases the incidence and the brightness of red eyes. Those that don't have red eyes have beige ones.

Of the three albino strains currently identified (Tremper, Bell, Rainwater) it's the Bell Albino that has the reddest eyes. While Tremper and Rainwater Albinos are often born with red eyes but have them fade as they grow into adulthood, Bell Albinos are more likely to retain their red eyes into and throughout their adult lives.

Perhaps the most striking of the ruby-eyed leopard gecko morphs is the Diablo Blanco (also known as the Blazing Blizzard). This is an all-white leo, which provides a lot of contrast for their somewhat 'devilish' eyes.

Yellow

It's currently unconfirmed whether or not this eye color really exists, but rock star leopard gecko breeder Ron Tremper (creator of the Tremper Albino) has said that he has produced a new morph, the 'Xanthic,' that has eyes in the spectrum of bright yellow to rich gold. Apparently Xanthic eyes are laced with red from visible blood vessels like for normal albino eyes.

Yellow eyes have never been seen in leos before, so if it's true, it would represent a big breakthrough in breeding science.

People choose their pets for different reasons and the eye color of a leopard gecko might just be your preference, just remember there are several to choose from.

Spinning Rims Will Add All The Flash That You Crave For Your Vehicle

Have you fixed up your car just the way you want it? You have the flashy paint job, and the pumping stereo, now what about the wheels? If you are looking for a bit more flash to add to your wheels, then you need spinning rims for your ride. Owning a Pet Turtle

Turtles are one of the most popular, exotic and fascinating creatures available in a pet store. If you are thinking of adopting a pet turtle, your main prerogative must be to be well informed and aware of the techniques for creating a suitable habitat for your turtle, including a dry area and a wet area. Did you know that turtles can live up to 40-50 years old? You pet's going to be your companion for most of your life. Don't they deserve the best possible care you can give them? To ensure that your pet turtle is delivered high maintenance and proper care, you need to be well endowed with the basic information regarding your pet turtle's care, treatment, diet and factual data.

Pet turtles flourish the best when they are kept outside in the open. Turtles are animals that indulge in hibernation during the winter months and if they are confined inside during those months, they will not but obviously not hibernate as they will not know what time of the year it is. In case they fail to hibernate, it may invite unwelcome health ailments of the liver. Further, pet turtles must be permitted to stay out in the natural environment to enjoy heat of the sun, graze on grass and marvel in the fresh surroundings.

If you decide otherwise and keep your pets largely indoors, then make sure you provide at least a forty gallon tank size in which your turtle can swim around freely. This is essential because there needs to be enough elbow space for a water only area as well as a dry land area and sufficient room between the two for the turtle to survive comfortably. A minimum of 1/3rd of the tank must be devoted to land and a part of this dry land must have direct access to rays provided by a UV light. The best way to offer this is to have large, flat rocks under the lamp that gives the turtle ample area to bask themselves. A temperature of about 80 degrees during the day and 70degress during the night must be regulated and maintained.

Unfortunately but true, turtles are not pets that are meant to be played with. They are best to be observed and watched from a distance through the walls of the tank. Turtles are cold blooded pets and hence it takes them a while to adapt to change in temperature. Taking a turtle out from its comfortable warm tank gives them quite a shock and could also hurt their immune system. Proper turtle care and maintenance commands for it to be as unchanging and predictable as possible. Most turtles, both land and water based, require a similar diet consisting of fresh, leafy greens and vegetables. Some kinds of land based turtles such as the box turtles or tortoise do not demand very extensive habitats and a very basic but safe enclosed outdoor housing is sufficient. Other turtle and terrapins, by contrast require both a dry as well as a wet environment.

Caring for and tending to turtles can be extremely rewarding and satisfying provided it is executed with a sense of commitment and integrity. If you are looking for a quiet and serene but still an exotic and affectionate animal to raise as a pet, you must consider a turtle. Most pet owners are ultimately satisfied with their decision and despite the fact that turtles are not huggable and cuddly pets, they exude warmth and love like any other four legged pet.

WoW Druid Talent Tree Build in WotLK - Where to Spend Your Talent Points

The druid is a shape shifting hybrid class which allows you to approach many different play styles and this is the reason why it is one of the most versatile classes in the entire game. Druids of every spec can find a role for themselves at the end-game whether it's raiding or PvP.

Just like with the rest of the classes in World of Warcraft the talents for druids are split into three categories, or trees:

-    The Balance tree which focuses on damage spells that will make the druid a very efficient spell damage dealer.

-    The Feral Combat tree which focuses on using the shape shifting druid forms of cat, bear and dire bear, each of these focusing in turn  on either tanking - Bear and Dire Bear - or on melee DPS - Cat form.

-    The Restoration tree focuses on healing spells, making the druid a very efficient healer, especially because of the Tree of Life form that druids learn by investing in this talent tree.

Like we said in the beginning the druid class is a hybrid class and this means that each druid talent tree will definitely contain some talents which will be useful and sometimes necessary when specializing in any one of the other trees. Let's take a look at what a druid talent tree can offer.

For instance:

- Some Feral Combat talents will modify your maximum mana which you would need large amounts of if specializing in the Moonkin form;

- some Balance talents will modify the cost of healing spells which is crucial for any good healer, while others will be helpful when in the feral forms.

- Some Restoration talents like Furor, will give the druid rage when they switch into either Cat or Bear Form, while others like Natural Shape shifter will reduce the mana cost of shape shifting by thirty percent.

ATX Power Supply - The Simplest Way To Repair It

I had stopped repairing ATX power supply many years back due to the new one cost very cheap. It's not worth to repair it because the spare parts sometimes were much more expensive than getting a new power supply. Searching for ATX power supply spare parts was not easy as many of them you can't even find them on the internet. Not only that, many complicated and different designed by power supply manufacturers had eaten up our precious troubleshooting time too because of we need time to understand how all these different designed power supply work.

Some of the power supply designs were using the PWM IC (UC3842) and power FET, some use the double transistors while some use only a single power IC in the primary side. Because of the manufacturers wants the design to be made into compact size, many secondary or even primary power supply circuit were build into a modular board (smaller board). This made troubleshooting even more difficult because many times the meter's probe can't reach to the testing point.

The real reason why I had stopped repairing ATX power supply was the profit margin. If you charge to high the customers rather buy a new unit with one year warranty given. If you charge too low, you may end up in the losing side because of the components replaced, electricity and etc. If you charge reasonable, the profit margin gained can't even cover your time spent on troubleshooting it. I'm here not to discourage you to stop repairing ATX power supply, however if you have the time, have contacts getting cheap power supply components, easy to access many power supply schematic diagrams and etc then you may go ahead to repair it.

Okay back to the article, one of my customers had asked me to repair his ATX power supply. I told him to get a new one (since it was very cheap) but he said he couldn't find one that suits his customer's CPU. He wanted a power supply that is either same size or smaller then the original one with same or higher specification but all he could find was a standard size power supply!

As a favors to my customer, I would do my best to help him to repair the ATX power supply. When the power supply was switch on, measurements were taken. The results were over voltage. The 12 volts line shot up to 13 + volt and the 5 volts line became 5.6 volts. After the casing was removed, I found the inside was very dirty and I used a vacuum cleaner and a brush to clean off the dirt. Then I saw four filter electrolytic capacitors had bulged at the top casing.

As you know, we as electronic repairers can't just see things at only one side; we have to see the other sides too. What I mean was, try to see if there are any suspicious components that contributed to the failure of the power supply such as broken components, dry joints, loose connection, decay glue and etc before start checking the suspected area.

What I saw was at the primary side there were some components covered with decayed glue as seen in the picture. I have to carefully remove it by scrapping off the layers of the decayed glue while preserving the outer layers of the components. Once it was done, I clean it with the Thinner solution. Decayed glue could cause serious or intermittent problem in electronic equipment because it can be conductive.

If you repair any ATX power supply, make sure you check the fan too because some power supply failure was due to heat caused by a faulty fan. The purpose of the fan is to suck out all the heat generated by the components inside the power supply. In order for the fan to run smooth, you can service it by using a Philips oil base spray as shown in the photo.

Once the four electrolytic capacitors were replaced and the decayed glue removed, I then have to plug it into a junk motherboard together with a hard disk to test the performance of the ATX power supply and measure all of its output voltages. It seems like the output voltages were back to normal. Once everything is okay I then test it in a working CPU to check for the display.

The reason I test it with a junk motherboard first as a way not to cause my good motherboard to go bad just in case if the output voltages is still very high. Better safe than regret later. By the way you can't test a power supply without load otherwise it may turned on for a while and then shut down. If you do not have a junk motherboard you can always at least connect a hard drive and a wire jumper to its connector to turn on the ATX power supply.

Do you know that most ATX power supply is using dual schottky barrier rectifiers to convert the ac wave into DC voltages? Even in LCD Monitor power supply, a dual schottky were used in the rectification too. For your information, checking schottky diode is different from checking a normal diode. With analog meter set to X10 K ohms, it should show some leakage reading when doing the reverse bias test. If this component becomes faulty it is very easy to get a replacement, of course you have to get one with the right specification. Few car makers (if any) have the reputation of Lamborghini. Since the early sixties, Lamborghini has produced exotic vehicles that inspire drool and envy - including the Miura, the Countach (which helped popularize sharp-angled sports cars) and the Diablo. And, yet, the latest Lamborghini model still manages to top its maker's reputation.

With a sleek, dark-gray (or "matte gray" as it is called) exterior, gazing at the Lamborghini Reventón is like staring into the future. Everything about the vehicle screams cool. That statement can be taken both figuratively or literally since the Reventón includes a number of unique external features designed to keep components from overheating at high speeds. Extraction fans positioned below its rear LED brake lights pull hot air from the engine, and opaque fins attached to the aluminum rims help cool the ceramic brake rotors. Other than the roof and doors (which are constructed of steel), all the body panels (and even the rim fins) are made of a carbon-fiber composite. The interior of the vehicle is no less impressive, with comfortable suede and shiny carbon fiber everywhere. But that's not the interior's most impressive component - that would be the dashboard display. Featuring three LCD screens, the driver can choose among various modes for the gauges - including a jet mode with a G-force meter.

If the jet connection seems appropriate, it goes deeper - the Reventón was intentionally designed with a jet feel in mind. Inspired by the stealth F-22 Raptor, one of the world's most effective fighter planes, Lamborghini's director of brand and design, Manfred Fitzgerald had each of his designers create a vision for the Reventón based on the jet. Fitzgerald then chose the design he liked best and sent the team to work refining it. Still, despite all the bells and whistles on the design end, in terms of performance, the Reventón actually doesn't do much more than the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. Like the Murciélago, the Reventón has a V-12 engine, is controlled via a six-speed manual transmission and tops out at a similar speed of 211 mph. While the Reventón has a slight edge over the Murciélago in horsepower (650 instead of 640), the Murciélago has a slightly quicker pick up time (0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds compared to the Reventón's 3.4 seconds).

Certainly, though, no one will confuse the tag on the Reventón with the Murciélago's $300,000 ballpark price. The limited-edition piece of automotive artwork costs nearly $1.4 million (or 1 million euros). And don't get your hopes up, millionaires - only 21 Reventóns will be built and all of them have already been sold (with the exception of one car which will be stowed away in the Lamborghini vault). So, if not to make money (the costs of producing the vehicles doesn't leave room for much profit), what's the point? More than anything, the Reventón is a reassertion of Lamborghini's high-end position in the car industry. While it may not necessarily be practical to produce a wildly expensive car simply for visual appeal in a world of economic woes and debilitating gas prices, there is something to be said for the awe of excess. And nobody does awe or excess quite like Lamborghini.

The Top Five PC RPG Games

Role-playing games have been around for over three decades.  During that time, there have been a horde of great RPGs for the PC.  Here is a list of five of the best PC RPG games ever.

This list was created using the following rules:

- Only one game per title series may be included - The game must be an RPG - The game must be available for the PC - The game must not be an MMORPG

#5 - Fable - Fable was released in 2006 and published by Microsoft.  The game received critical acclaim even before its release.  The game ended up selling over two million copies in its first two years and was the top selling game upon its release.  There were also follow-up games that Fable spawned, one of which included Fable 2.

#4 - Final Fantasy VII - Final Fantasy VII has been credited as the game which helped console role-playing games find a market outside of Japan.  Although it was a very successful console game, it also was one of the most successful PC RPGs ever.  The Final Fantasy series is one of the most popular RPG series ever, possibly the greatest.  And Final Fantasy VII is the best of the best.

#3 - Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - This is the third installment of the Elder Scroll series which was released in 2002.  Morrowind received very high review scores upon release.  It has spawned multiple expansions and follow-up games.  

#2 - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - This RPG was one of the highest scoring RPGs by reviewers ever.  It is set in, arguably, the most well-known space opera or sci-fi setting ever, Star Wars.  But the setting was a newer setting developed at the time of its release.  Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic won numerous awards, including Game of the Year, Best Console RPG, and Best Computer RPG from multiple reviewers.  BioWare and LucasArts are currently creating an MMORPG based off of the game series called, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

#1 - Fallout 3 - This action role-playing game was released by Bethesda Game Studios to rave reviews.  It sold over 610,000 units during its first months of release, making it one of the most successful RPG releases ever.  It won numerous awards during its release, including Game of the Year, Best PC Game, Best RPG, Best Xbox 360 Game, and many more.  

There are numerous other PC RPGs that could have made the list.  Some of the games that came close to making the cut are Diablo, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, and Might & Magic 6: The Mandate of Heaven.  There are definitely many other games that could have made this list.  Even within the games that were chosen there are several other great choices in the series.  But this is a pretty solid list of the best PC RPG games ever.

Bearded Dragons Shedding - Is Skin Exfoliation A Problem?

A bearded dragon sheds its skin regularly. In order for this to happen, he requires the correct conditions. In captivity these conditions are aided by a basking lamp and warm environment. Together with exfoliation would be the sun lamp. As I mentioned, dragons love to bask in the sun. To create this environment, we give them a basking lamp under which they sit for hours. (Don't forget natural sun is very important for him - being a desert creature, he needs large amounts of Vitamin D).

The skin comes off in large patches. Don't help them to pull it off--you can damage the new skin underneath. Letting them soak in shallow warm (98 deg) water or misting them helps shedding. Exfoliating dragon

Going into shed is not a real fun thing for beardies. Most get rather cranky during this time, with some becoming hissy or snappy, objecting to being held or touched. The best thing to do is to respect their ill-feeling as much as possible. Some beardies will greatly reduce their food intake during a shed, others stop eating altogether until after they have shed. Offer a nice warm bath to help keep the skin moist and offer fluids for beardies that are off food.

Problems during Shedding

A problem shed is a shed that isn't happening like a normal, healthy shed should. Adult beardies normally shed in pieces, a problem shed would be where it is taking too long, or where skin is retained in problem areas, such as around toes, spikes, and tails. A problem shed is a sign of an even greater, underlying problem. When a problem shed occurs, or one that is too slow to start or finish, you need to figure out why it is happening and correct the problem.

- First, analyze the environment, diet, etc. Are their any signs of pain and discomfort?

- Correct the problem (adjust heat, lighting, photoperiods, diet, etc.).

- If the beardie has started shedding, but not properly completed a shed, you can help it along. Soak them in a tub of warm water (95-99 degrees F) for 10-15 minutes, then begin gently rubbing their skin. Make sure the skin is removed from their toes, spikes, and tails.

- If there is still retained shed in these problem areas, wrap the wet beardie in a warm damp towel, then wrap that in a dry towel. Sit down with it for 5 minutes or so, then expose a small area of the crest, or a foot, and begin to gently work at the retained skin.

- If there are several layers or one very resistant layer, rub some mineral oil into the area while the beardie is still wet from the bath. This will help lock the moisture from the bath into that area. Do this for a couple of days (bath followed by the mineral oil worked into the skin); this should get enough water wicked up between the layers of skin to make them very easy to remove.

You might wonder as to where all the shedded skin has gone. Some beardies will occasionally eat some of their shed. This is not a problem as long as the beardie is maintained in a clean environment.

Anaconda Snakes Pictures - Updated and Explained!

Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yetis and the Loch Ness Monster have been reported for centuries yet there have been no verifiable proof of any of these creatures! For cryptozoologists, though, the theory they may exist is utterly fascinating. Likewise, for anyone who is interested in zoology and cryptozoology the anaconda is an equally fascinating study.

Unlike the aforementioned creatures, we know anacondas exist and have ourseles enough substantial proof with available anaconda snakes pictures from reputable sources. What we do not know, however, is how big these snakes actually get. Reported sightings of giant anacondas are where the scientific community holds the most interest thanks to many Hollywoof events to say the least!

What we know about these creatures is that they are accepted to be the world's largest known snakes for length and girth. They are found in the South American rain forests and are rather shy creatures which are the foundation of a lot of mystery surrounding them.

There are reported cases from explorers and natives of anacondas reaching over one hundred feet in length. However, there is no verification that this is, indeed, the case. In fact, there is much dispute over how large these creatures can actually get.

A study in Brazil of over one thousand anacondas revealed the average length to be approximately seventeen feet. However, we also know that they can get upwards to just around the thirty feet range. Even while the reported incidents of fifty to one hundred foot anaconda sightings are met with some skepticism, there are still two cases of anacondas measuring over thirty feet that are widely held to be accurate, though no concrete evidence of such is easily verifiable.

In 1944 an expedition shot an anaconda that was subsequently measured at thirty seven feet and six inches long. The snake was believed to be dead but apparently it was not. The reptile escaped before pictures could even be taken!

A renowned scientist, Vincent Roth, also reportedly measured an anaconda to be approximately thirty four feet in length. However, as with the 1944 example, no anaconda snakes picture was taken to prove this claim. Even so, many in the scientific community believe both instances to have some validity to them.

Expeditions to South America have resulted in numerous anaconda pictures throughout the years. It is undeniable that these magnificent creatures are large and imposing. However, the more outrageous claims of snakes growing over fifty feet are somewhat unbelievable. Even if pictures are taken the angle and scale can be skewed and perception can be altered to where it is difficult to determine the actual size.

For cryptozoologists, the discovery of any anaconda over thirty feet would be an incredible boon for the scientific community. This is one of the main reasons these creatures are studied at length and expeditions occur regularly for their study.

Nowadays anyone who captures or finds a dead anaconda of such proportions will likely be sure to have the anaconda snakes picture taken in order to prove their claims. In addition, it is likely that an attempt would be made to capture the snake. Until that time, though, the community at large will take the somewhat delusional though opinion that they can grow from thirty to 100 feet. We just have to thank Hollywood sometimes!

Playing Diablo 2 as a Barbarian in Multiplayer

When you first start playing Diablo 2, Barbarian looks like the easiest-to-play character0. Grab a weapon; get some armor and fight up close and personal with the nasties - that's all that seem to be the tactic to you. Au contraire. Indeed, playing as Barbarian is not at all easy.

First off, you MUST have high proficiency in a melee weapon. There are throwing barbs and even the party-buffing war cry builds, but please, don't even think about making these builds the first time you play. Unless you have someone to guide you (who has the experience of playing through Hell in D2 at least a couple times), you will be crying into your hanky halfway through Normal difficulty. So, we need a weapon. What to choose? Well, consider the possibilities. If you choose a sword, you have a highly customizable hero that can equip one two-handed sword in each hand. Need some extra protection? Throw one sword away and get a shield. It's that simple. First time players - consider taking specialization in swords. It will help you a lot. Axes are good in the sense that these will cause good number of critical hits and also provide better attack rating and damage compared to most other weapons. But (yes, there is a big "but" here), axes are slow. Besides, you cannot use a two-handed axe and a shield at one time. So, high damage axe means no shields. Remember, you have to protect yourself properly if you are to protect your team. So, get a good sword and a shield and ample points in sword mastery.

Second, go for Bash and Concentrate. Yes, I am serious. Don't even think of Whirlwind on your first attempt as a barbarian. Bash up your enemies when you begin, and as you reach level 18, Concentrate on finishing your enemies (pun intended). Also, concentrate will provide you with insanely high defense rating at higher levels, thus you can just stand at one place and act as an impenetrable shield wall while your party members happily blast those nasties into oblivion.

Third, don't forget Battle Orders. This is a must-have for party players. Use high-level Battle Orders to boost yours and your teammates' hit points and mana reserves.

Fourth, if you are playing for the first time, put some points into Battle Cry. It will help reduce the damage you take from enemies. Your melee team members will also thank you for that; remember, you are not the only one taking direct damage from enemies, paladins also suffer a lot at the hands, er, claws of the demons. Plus if you have a necro in your team, ask him to cast Decrepify. That way, your Battle Cry will lower the defense of enemies even below zero, i.e. negative value. Have a jolly good time chopping them up.

So, have fun. Play Diablo 2 happily with your pals.

New Orleans Recipes - Stewed Chicken

In my continuing series of New Orleans favorite recipes that my mother taught me, I will give you her Stewed Chicken. I am forever grateful that I hung around when my mother was cooking. I have taken license over the years with her recipes because she used everything fresh. If I don't use fresh ingredients, I ask her forgiveness but these dishes still taste wonderful. As with most of these recipes, this dish is served over hot cooked white rice. I always eat mine accompanied by green peas. We always used petit bois or very young small green peas.

Ingredients:

One whole stewing chicken (You can use a whole cut up chicken sold as such)
3 green onions
3 medium onions
4 tablespoons Chopped Parsley
One stalk Celery
2 tablespoons minced garlic
One 14 oz can chicken broth
2 cups browned flour or 1 cup roux mix or brown gravy mix
Water
Salt and pepper and Tony Chachere seasoning to taste
You can add gravy mix at the end if not thick enough for you
Preparation:

Cut onions and green onions and celery finely and
Saute' in a little vegetable or virgin olive oil for five minutes
Brown chicken parts in a large pot that will be used for the stew under medium to high heat while turning parts and watching carefully
Add chicken broth and a cup of water to pot with chicken and dissolve the drippings
Add sauteed' vegetables to pot
Add enough water to just cover the chicken parts and cover
Add flour or roux mix
Cook at low to medium heat for 2 1/2 hours stirring occasionally
Add 2 tablespoons parsley and minced garlic after one hour
Salt and pepper and seasonings are added after one hour
Add last 2 tablespoons of parsley after 2 hours
Serve over white rice

Chicken Spaghetti Recipe That's Really Fancy

Ingredients of chicken spaghetti recipe:

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cloves garlic, minced

3/4 teaspoon ground ginger

3/4 pound spaghetti

3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons lime juice (from about 2 limes)

1 tablespoon cooking oil, plus 1 tablespoon more if needed

3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound in all)

1/2 cup chunky peanut butter, preferably natural

1 cup canned low-sodium chicken broth or homemade stock

1/8 teaspoon dried red-pepper flakes, or to taste

3 scallions including green tops, chopped

1/3 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions of chicken spaghetti recipe:

In a medium, shallow glass dish or stainless-steel pan, combine the 3 tablespoons soy sauce, the 2 tablespoons lime juice, 1 tablespoon of the oil, the garlic, and the ginger.

Add the chicken; turn to coat. Let marinate at least 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a medium, stainless-steel saucepan, combine the remaining 1 teaspoon soy sauce and 2 teaspoons lime juice, the peanut butter, broth, sugar, salt, and red-pepper flakes.

Pour the marinade from the chicken into the saucepan and bring just to a simmer over moderate heat, whisking until smooth.

Heat a grill pan over moderate heat. Cook the chicken until browned and just done, 4 to 5 minutes per side.

Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes. Cut crosswise into 1/4-inch slices. Alternatively, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in a heavy frying pan. Cook and slice the chicken in the same way.

In a large pot of boiling, salted water, cook the spaghetti until just done, about 12 minutes. Drain the pasta and toss with the peanut sauce, chicken, and scallions. Top with the chopped peanuts, if using.

Arcane Mage Arena Spec - WoW Talent Tree Build For the Best Mage

The Mage is a very complex and powerful class. They can be taken in many different directions, deal incredible damage, and be fairly tough to kill. An arcane mage mixes resilience with traditional DPS output. Does this sound like the build you want to have? If so, keep reading. This article will cover informaton about the arcane Mage Arena spec and the WoW arcane Mage talent tree build for the best Mage in your realm!

As said before, the arcane tree mostly revolves around resilience and mobility. The endurance comes from an enlarged mana pool, buffs, mobile DPS spells, and reduced damage talents. You get 70 talent points as of the new expansion and generally spend about 55 points in your main tree. The remaining points go into a second tree. So, let's talk strictly about the arcane build and then the two possible mixed builds.

For extra mana restoration/retention, grab Arcane Concentration and Arcane Meditation. Both Arcane Fortitude and Prismatic Cloak offer's extra protection, and thus resilience. Take Spell Power and Arcane Instability for extra spell and critical strike damage. Finally, for your huge burst damage and some mobility, do not miss Missile Barrage, Presence of Mind, or Arcane Barrage. Take all available ranks of these spells and the rest are completely up to you.

The first hybrid build is arcane/fire combination. This build is for the Mage who wants to do a ton of damage to their enemies; your goal is to kill as fast as possible with as little harm and mana drain to yourself. Spend about 16 points in fire. Take Improved Fire Blast and Incineration. Do not miss Ignite for some extra DOT. Burning Determination is worth having, but definitely max out World of Flames and Pyroblast. They are potent when put together and lethal when mixed with arcane powers. Also take Impact for a stun effect. With the arcane tree's extra mana and damage, this build is absolutely deadly!

Now, if you want to snare, freeze, and generally frustrate your enemies, the arcane/frost spec is for you! Hinder monsters and other players literally every step of the way! This can keep you and your party alive and often unscathed. Frostbite and Ice Floes will freeze and lessen cool downs of other spells, respectively. Ice Shards and Frost Warding are not to be missed for extra critical strike and protection. Icy Veins you will want to temporarily increase casting time. Also be sure to take Precision, Piercing Ice, and Improved Blizzard. Let's see what the horde thinks of you now!

Whichever hybrid mix you choose, you will be quite formidable and intimidating! Fall back on fire for sheer damage and frost for survivability, but they both work great in an Arena/PVP setting. Now you can go be the best arcane mage on your server!

It has been seen that spontaneous Internet Explorer pop-up windows and ironically, pop-up blocker software, render Windows XP computer unusable at times of need. The pop-ups do not coincide with any particular action i.e, their execution is random and not caused by any particular event. They tend to slow down the computer and this is one of the major resons why Windows Users detest pop-ups. They often contain information unsuitable for being viewed by children.

Pop-ups usually are a means of advertising but there are times when the pop-ups mimic actual Windows and mislead the Internet user.
